Product Manager
Want to join us in building the leading SaaS platform for dental care?
Opus Dental is a Norwegian company developing the leading electronic patient journal system in the Nordic dental market, trusted by over 25,000 users in 4,500+ clinics. We have developed software solutions for the dental market since 1993. A steady growth journey has enabled constant product development and established a solid foundation for developing an end-to-end software supporting dentists and dental clinics.
Since day one, our goal has been to make administrative work simpler and more efficient within the dental industry. We are committed to providing dentists and dental practices with state-of-the-art software to enhance patient care and streamline practice management. Our goal? Improve usability, streamline workflows, and create a best-in-class digital experience for dental professionals.
Now, we're looking for a Product Manager who can bridge the gap between technology, user needs, and business goals - someone who can define priorities, manage product roadmaps, and help shape the future of Opus Dental - want to join our journey? 🚀
What you will do
As Product Manager, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering our product roadmap while working closely with engineering, UX, sales, and customer success teams. Your role will include:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and own the product roadmap for Opus Dental’s modernization journey - balancing business needs, customer demands, and technical feasibility.
- Prioritize features and improvements based on customer feedback, market trends, and company objectives.
Customer & Market Insight
- Engage directly with customers (dentists, clinic managers, and support teams) to understand their workflows, pain points, and needs.
- Analyze competitors and emerging trends in healthcare software to identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Work closely with the UX team to improve usability and optimize the user experience.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Execution
- Work with engineering teams to define feature requirements, technical specifications, and development priorities.
- Act as the key liaison between developers, designers, sales, testing, and customer success teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Break down complex product requirements into clear, actionable development tasks.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-impact features that bring measurable value to customers.
Mentorship & Leadership
- Foster a customer-first culture across teams, ensuring decisions are driven by user needs and business impact.
- Support junior product team members and help implement agile methodologies for continuous improvement.
Who we believe you are
We are looking for a proactive, structured, and customer-focused product manager who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving tech environment.
- 5+ years of experience in product management for B2B SaaS, healthcare, or enterprise software.
- Hands-on SaaS delivery experience: Ability to plan and execute small, iterative releases; manage gradual/feature-flag rollouts; and evaluate post-release impact with data.
- Proficiency with modern delivery tools: Documented daily use of Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar; covering boards/backlogs, repo/PR workflows, and basic release pipelines.
- Able to interpret API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger), define precise acceptance criteria, and ensure backward compatibility for existing customers.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration: Proven experience working closely with UX designers and engineering teams across frontend and backend.
- User and business-centred product thinking: Skilled at mapping user flows, identifying pain points, and balancing business goals with user needs.
- Have experience or knowledge with SaaS architecture: Familiar with environments, deployment flows, and gradual rollout strategies.
- Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English - you can convey technical details to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or similar - relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
Bonus Points:
- Experience working with an electronic patient journal (EPJ) or healthcare software.
- Familiarity with dental or medical workflows.
